I have had many people warn me to beware of a conflict of interest in regards to local lawyers. Apparently the will work together on a case to help each other, even though they both separately represent apposing clients. Has anyone experienced this?

I haven't heard this either. When I first contacted their office, one of the first things they asked for was the name of the other party so they can ensure that they weren't already representing him. Also, I don't see how helping each other on cases would be beneficial to the attorneys representing their clients. I think they're all "in it to win it." Hope this helps :)
