You can drive up to boat launch and park and walk around. There's a pretty hiking trail. There is a campground for campers. If you must, please drive very slowly as we have children, pets and bikes.
Theres technically a gate to part of it, by the rangers house, but I've never seen it closed, and they don't stop you for admission fees
Yes, there's no gate. It's so remote there is no need for one.
