I think the official policy is that PARENTS can accompany minors into the store. I brought my toddlers into the store several times with no issues. Not sure about teens. Maybe have older kids (13+) wait in the car or you can just call them.
Some stores will let yoy get away with a small child if you are their parent or guardian, but otherwise, no. Prepubescent and teenage children can and do have sticky fingers from time to time, especially in regards to stuff they cannot have but want, so they circumvent the issue by disallowing them in the store at all
