Trying to locate the exact location of the original church built in the 1600's. It was the Octagonal church. My ancestor, Captain Adrian Post was buried behind the church in 1677.

Did you ever find out more information? My ancestor was also buried there in 1668.

I would speculate that you might be able to find him in the graveyard across the street from Old Bergen. It is Old Bergen's property. Cannot be sure though, as I do not know the exact location of the original church. Good chance that someone could direct you if you call the church. For even better odds of finding him, visit us on Sunday!
