When is it the best time to collect shells at the local beaches? Do you offer field trips along the beaches?

Anytime can be shelling time! Generally beat when tide is low which varies everyday and by location. The shell museum does offer a daily beach walk that you can reserve/purchase on the website. Shellmuseum.Org

Walked the beach every morning but last time ran into a wonderful man who represented the Shell Museum....hpHe asked if I had any questions about the shells and said we need to visit the Shell Museum...We went and WE WERE AMAZED!!!...

Low tide is best... Especially after a storm that creates some surf.

Early morning..or after high tide..there are field trips offered..but I am not sure how you arrange them.The Inn I stayed at offered a shell talk and walk in the morning.
