It is available both weekends and weekdays. Life jackets are provided by beach staff, and contrary to a previous reply, it is free with your regular paid admission to the beach.
Week days and weekend but everyone has to where a life jacket and when you go up there they will ask you if your going to get on if yes it's an extra few dollars but they give a color coded wrist band
Only thing extra you pay for, is kyake, paddle board or korkle rentals the beach is open from memorial day till labor day
