The architectural design of Ave Maria might remind someone of what a true Basilica might look like because it is an oblong hall with rows of columns down the aisles and divided into the atrium or entrance chamber..."The Nave". In a true Basilica... the opposite end of the atrium or entrance is also an apse which is semicircular where the alter is placed. In the design of The church of Ave Maria....the architecture strongly resembles the true architectural design of the ancient Roman Basilicas...A perfect example of a true Basilica would be St. Peters Basilica of Rome. Many ancient Roman basilicas were later often converted into churches...However, the title of Basilica is also a title of honor often given by definition of church hierarchy or even the Pope as in ancient Rome. So.... you have asked a loaded question. A Basilica can also include something more than an architectural design space but also a title of Honor....Hope I've answered your question....Blessings.
I would say a modified basilica
I'm not sure but I suggest you called The Parish Office. If you haven't been there it is an absolutely amazing place that is worth the drive from anywhere. The little community around it has everything you would want and is as cute and quaint as it comes. I'm a professional photographer and I live in Naples Florida I've gotten up early to be there to photograph it at Sunrise and boy was it amazing
