Girls should have gone through their fist heat. And boys need to have sprayed I believe. I don't recall anymore how old those are.
Kittens can be spayed and neutered very young. Females DO NOT have to have a first heat and some males NEVER spray. Call the vet, some do these surgeries by 6-8 weeks.
