Mine were left just yesterday without a signature. I thought it was a bit strange because one purchase from a store came first in a small box labeled I of 10 boxes! Three days later I received the rest of my delivery and purchase in one very large box. ? Answering the question, in advance I would inquire about being present, to sign for your package, if you want to be there for your delibery. Otherwise, without notice the packages are available to be left on your door step even labeled incorrectly and without notice as to when the next package on the same order (!!!) will be delivered.
Yes
They sent my $1800 laptop to my previous address without asking me. They let the current occupant sign for it and I had to go beg for it. FedEx doesn't care. They use independent contractors.
I drive Semi I don't tuch freight.
Depends on if package requires a signature
Not if it is okay to be driver released. I know some shippers require a signature regardless if the recipient wants it or not. You can double check by calling the shipper. Remember that packages that are left, have a risk of being stolen. You can have it held at the shipping center nearest to you, so you can pick it up on your own time.
It depends on the type of package delivery. There are some packages that require a signature. If the option is available, you can request that the package be left without a signature.
