Recently I purchased a Mum in a flower pot from a local Supermarket.The Mum has buds but are not flowering. Are Mums meant to be removed from the pot;otherwise they won't bloom. I'm puzzled. can you help?

I have some mums also that have not bloomed yet It is a little early for them but they will bloom in the pot
