Big Kase Cox, thanks for the input. Your absolutely right. In the long run it is better to have the testing performed first before you start replacing parts. This often saves money and time in the long run.
A Professional Diagnostic would be recommended before trying to replace the PCM, however you can replace the part. Only problem is it has to be taken to a Dealership to be properly programmed and all the service packs updated. It would be better to diagnose the actual problem with code scanners than to part out all the systems until you fix what's wrong. But as the vehicle owner, it's your call.
