Hey, Sarah. Half Price stocks some new books and old, gently used books that people sell to them. If you did some digging I'm sure you'd find some child friendly books that would explore cosmology and the origins of the Universe. I have bought TONS of great science books there over the years and they have a fantastic kid's section. Definitely worth a trip to check it out!
Yes, I agree with the others that they have a good selection for children and that the selection contains a wide variety of books. Depending on the age of your children, you might even be able to find something suitable in the non- children's section. The other thing to keep in mind is that the Mason and Kenwood locations are located within a reasonable driving distance of each other so if the one location doesn't have anything that meets your needs the other one might.
They do have childrens books on that subject and many other science subjects. I just checked for christmas shopping. Their selection changes daily.
They have a huge, awesome kids section, and although I'm not positive prob, I would say there is probably at least about an 85 to 90% chance they do!
The children's section has a really good selection. I haven't spent a lot of time looking through it so I can't say I saw one but this would be a really good place to check.
