Generally no. You can see if it is the alternator. Step one pop Hood, and start car. Step 2 Take positive cable off of your battery. If you're car dies. You have a bad alternator.
Always remember: once you buy a battery from any store and installed in a vehicle, you cannot return it for a refund.
