I believe I read in the KC Star a while back that this walking trail/park will be changing. The school district has plans to take part of this area and build an elementary school somewhere. Does anyone know if this is true, and when it will happen?

I believe it's still being discussed. I follow a guy on facebook called The Linecreek Loudmouth, and he posts about it pretty frequently.
