He definitely has something going on. When we got there he was verbally abusing an employee. Then later came to our table and was pretty decent. The food is "ok". Very expensive for the area it is with no parking etc.

If you read his response to my review, you can tell that there is something not right... After his reply, i downgraded my review to a 1 star... The lack of service and ok food had gotten him 2 Stars. But his racism made me change that to a 1 star.
He is HORRIBLE! I saw him yell at a table next to us and it made the entire room uncomfortable. Avoid at all costs.
I think he is bipolar. On my first visit he was very polite but the second time he was extremely rude. Food is good but not worth the abusive behavior.
We have visited the restaurant approximately 4 times. Each time we have been treated with courtesy. if there is anything else he can do. We made the decision to have our son and daughter-in-law's wedding brunch there. There were approximately 40 people as as we took over the restaurant. We did all the planning with the chef and the manager. The service was superb, the food outstanding, the ambience perfect. The chef came out of the kitchen and toasted my son and daughter-in-law and assisted in serving. Circle the tables and ask the guest if there was anything else that he could do. It was a perfect celebration and the staff and the chef made it even more perfect. Our son who is a chef goes there on a regular basis to buy provisions. He has always been treated with respect and has been encouraged to try different ingredients. The chef even invited him one day into the kitchen to get a few tips on making the paellas. I

I have never had a problem with any of the staff or owner. All my interactions have been positive. The company that I work for have held 2 successful parties at Candela.
