Honestly, it depends on which end of the convention center you leave. The convention center is about a 15-20 walk in length. Via uber or car, figure at least 10 minutes to the Amtrak on Loyola. Perhaps, in a worst case scenario, 20 minutes.
The Convention center is a 1 mile long building. If you leave it from the end furthest from Canal Street (the opposite end) it is about a 35 minute walk or 7 mins by car to the Union/Amtrak Terminal.
