Big capacity, more fans get to see their band/singer
It's open air, it host 80+ baseball games during the peak concert season, and they need the grass in the field preserved for the baseball games.
And with all that they still may have on occasion depending 0n the venue a concert.

I will echo some of the above answers. Cost, worry about repairing the field. 81 dates for pure baseball plus practices and other baseball related activities. There are plenty of mixed use facilities out there. Yankee Stadium is not one of them.
To be honest I am not really sure why. It would be perfect for concerts
Stadium officials are always worried about damage to their turf. Plus there are so many other venues in NYC for concerts.
There's no reason for concerts at a baseball stadium when there are so many other venues for music elsewhere... People are messy and baseball fields are pristine
