It's Kays way of saying good bye to the baseball as it exits the park for a home run. Not to be taken literally.
Have you ever watched a baseball game, Elaine?
It's his tag line, and it's why we love him
Because he's been saying it forever
Thats he's trademark
I agree with Adam S....Elaine most sports broadcasters have catch phrases for big plays in the game.
He needed a catchy phrase and that line ended up being said over and over and it stuck. Announcers need catchy phrases or no one would listen for long
It's a catch phrase that works for him.
It's his tag
Very funny Elaine, but in reality many away home run balls reappear in the field.
It's his tag line.
I've been perplexed by this odd but catchy catch phrase as well, but we mustn't take these figures of speech too literally when they're just so damn fun! However, this is a question for the radio announcers, not the stadium venue, where an appropriate question may be, Is Pinstripe Pilsner any good to drink?"
...do not go too deep in it. It is a catch phrase....
Do you see everyone later, who says see you later?
Fahgedaboudit! It's outta here. Like, see ya later alligator!
He means the ball is out of there. Home run. Basically he's saying bye to the ball.
Sometimes!
