Does anybody know if you can metal detect on the Park grounds?

I believe it is against the law to remove anything from a State Park except yourself and your trash.

I'm pretty sure you can. I believe I've seen someone doing this before. Regardless the park rangers/employees are all generally friendly

I would ask first, any and all artifacts found belong to the park, plus digging holes around the park is most likely un-acceptable. But what a great place to do it if you can.

I don't think you can take any park property, but like Chris said the rangers are very friendly. I imagine they don't want you digging large holes, or removing State property. Best to call and ask. Cover your bases.
