They really shouldn't since pet store puppy are generally from "puppy mills" and the practice is seriously frowned upon. Adopt from your local shelters.
Nope. They do have kittens up for adoption. For puppies in the Asheville area you can contact Mountain Pet Rescue, Asheville Humane Society, Brother Wolf and other rescues!
