Yes. When you adopt they are not yet spayed/neutered. The cost of the pet includes the s/n but it's your responsibility to take them to the vets on the list they give you. I think all I paid was the optional pain medication. I can't recall if it included a chip but I'm pretty sure it does.

If u get it before they do they pay for it
