There is no way to remove the nail itself surgically. When a declaw is performed, it is removing the last bone in the toe (to which the nail is attached). It is a very serious surgery with a lot of potential complications. We do perform declaws, but only after we have had a chance to talk to the owners about all other options and make the best decision for the pet and family. We do offer nail trims daily for a small fee as a technician appointment!
I don't think they declaw cats, however you may want to research this procedure thoroughly before deciding you want to do this. I never realized how barbaric it is. There are other alternatives. Clipping, scratching posts, sprays, nail caps, etc.
