Studios choose which theaters get to show movies that are not going out in wide release. Because we are a small town theater, we don't always have access to movies such as "Samson" or "God's not Dead" and the like until a few weeks after they have been playing. Chico and Yuba City are part of the Cinemark chain and are able to have access to films that we just can't get.
We have a small theater, they don't make the most money. They show what is most popular and will generate revenue. Movies are shown to make money which may be upsetting but Oroville is a small town. Most people go to Chico for things away.
I went and seen two movies Paul the apostle of Christ and I could only imagine both movies for Christians they already played.
It did play at Feather River in Oroville, last Friday the 30th. I went and watched It!
Probably a popularity thing....
Good question. You should go ask them.
Was the movie you want to see showing on any Screen? Meaning was it showed nationally or was it a special showing in Yuba City
