I bring my small dog to this park almost every day of the week and we go to the little dog side. There is plenty of space for the dogs to run around or sit by themselves or on the benches if they don't feel like playing.

I do goto dog parks, they have any area for small and one for large dogs. Some people do bring aggressive dogs and I will leave if I notice that but it is rare. Most people are friendly. I haven't had any issues with my dog getting bitten.

I have a chihuahua too. He loves going to the park and playing with the other dogs. He has never been bit by another dog (by a flea yes). I feel safe with him there.

There's a side for small dogs and a side for big dogs. There is also a sign with rules posted and owners should be watching their dogs for any signs of aggression. If you're worried try walking your dog around the outside of the fence and let other dogs run up to greet yours and see how the interaction goes.
