Unfortunately it's the law. If the cashier gets caught not asking for ID they will get a fine, and can lose their license. Try to understand they're just doing their job.

I know that car your age, you may look 50 years younger. But all employees must follow regulations or be fined. At your age, be glad that you are carded. It shows that you are vibrant and vivacious.
