If u need a place to stay u can go there it's at 224 Sussex ave in Newark right off of central ave...from November 1st till winter is over they take people in so go to side entrance where big driveway is u will see a huge gate to the left by the building and stairs is a bell ring it and they will address it from there...they do have a curfew so try to arrive early as possible preferably before 9pm unless u have a job schedule that shows why ur later than curfew...good luck hope that helps🙂...and it's technically an emergency shelter they take accept men and women...and I'm sure if true emergency they will even take family for the night till they refer u to proper placement...they will not turn anyone away who is out in the cold...its an emergency shelter...689 south 16th is now a rooming house no longer a shelter...they mostly house parolees and people who pay cash for room.
It is for males only.
This country don't care about us. Or wage earned for minority's would match rent cost
