Buy a new lock at Lowes or Home Depot for 7 dollars You letter carrier will need to open the set of boxes so you can remove the old lock Once the old lock is out you will be able to put the new one in, after the carrier leaves. Do not call a lock smith unless you are rich and like to give money away
Most keys are the responsibility of the owner or HOA. Either hire a locksmith or ask your mail carrier to help you remove your lock and take it to hardware store and buy a new one. They're about $6
