Currently there is not a hotel in the heart of downtown Frederick. Closest hotels are about 3 to 4 miles from the city center. Current lodging options in the area are AirBnB as well as some beautiful historic Bed and Breakfasts.
There has been a push for years to put in a hotel on Carroll Creek, but hasn't happened yet. You can however rent the Barbara Fritchie house right in downtown though AirBnB.
I lived in that area for 6 months and I did not see any hotel in downtown, outside the historic area of the city there are very good hotels, about 10 minutes, about 10 min from downtown.
