I started my son here at age 7
It really depends on the ability of the child to listen. I had my child there at four but he was not able to concentrate well and had to stay a white belt for a few terms. I would say wait until five. The teachers are great regardless and really know how to work with younger kids well. I'd totally recommend giving it a try :)
My daughter started at 12. Most kids were a lot younger but the teachers know how to train groups of all ages.
My son started about 4. He did pretty well. The instructors are great with the balance between firm & patient. Our daughter tried at 4 but wasn't ready. She turned 5 this past spring and started again! She's loving it!
