Some had been there since 8am and they didn’t even open the door until 10am. No one had a clue he has quit his practice. Linda and one guy was there referring patients somewhere else. Apparently he had, I heard over 400 hundred patients. That’s a lot of angry people. I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard for a lawyer to get a list of all of us. As I mentioned to Linda, he abandoned his patients, and that is a crime and I would pursue a lawsuit against him.
My understanding is, allegedly (and I believe it), Dr. Rice had a legit medical emergency of his own. Doctor's don't generally leave a practice abruptly, especially an office of this magnitude and with this many patients. Before everyone gets on the phone with lawyers you have to question why would he abruptly leave. Well, it was for emergency medical reasons. And no, the staff and no one else has to tell you the details of what happened or why. Providers, nurses, etc... get sick too and have emergency medical conditions as well. Give them grace. They're office is in turmoil, too, trying to ensure all the patients in the clinic are taken care of and referred quickly as possible.

That’s who Dr Rice office referred all his patients back mid March but they then called and told them that Dr Rice was back to seeing patients and they quit calling the patients for appointments. I have caught the office staff in so many lies. They are not doing anything to help the patients. You have to initiate everything on your own. That new clinic is very nice and helpful.

How is Dr Rice, he was a very kind Dr. I have been with him since 2008. I called the Spine clinic in Pinehurst and got an appointment all my info was already there
Him and his wife were convicted of tax evasion back in Jan. of 2020. My mother-in-law has been a patient of Dr. Rice for the past 8 years, and she went to her appt, but the office was closed, all the lights were turned off, and it looked as if it was closed. So I googled Dr. Rice, and there was an article talking about how the tax evasion.
