brother bought 18' fishing boat (used) from private seller in New Jersey. Can you inspect trailer there and what does he need to get a temp tag in order to legally transport it to you?

Not sure about inspection on boats.but you need the bill of sale and and insurance paper plus any other paperwork about the boat to take with you to DMV

They don't inspect boat trailers they do inspect commercial trailers
