Agreed. I moved here from NYC and the Canalside was instantly one of my favorite places. Very beautiful and cozy
I'd say yes. I always see pets walking with their humans. Lots of ice cream & drink stands. There are a couple bars and restaurants along the waterfront there as well. But if I am being honest all along route 5 has been renovated & upgraded even just outside Dt area (not as many businesses) but it's just as nice too.
Absolutely!!!! The atmosphere at Canalside is Buffalo at its best. Enjoy and plan to return to do more exploring in the area.
Yes, there's many historical things to look at and read up on while you're walking, there's food along the water front also, so you'd be able to grab lunch or a quick snack.
Absolutely the best. Believe your golden retriever will great time as well. When I visit, seen several dogs. Little, big and big dogs. People are pretty much friendly. Keep in mind, there are Vets come here for personal reasons. Bring your food, but there are vendors and mini restaurants along the park. Beware however, this is not just any typical park. There alot of emotion that you won't be able to escape from
I know this was a year ago, but I love canalside. I love the outer harbor more though! Take the bike ferry across the way from canalside for about $1 or so each way and walk around there too. Or you could drive to the outer harbor as well, just a few minutes down the skyway. So beautiful, you'll forget you're in the city!
