Is it reasonable to expect free breakfast at expensive hotels? This place is great for those who pay a lot extra but excludes those who only pay to stay here. I brought a ten year old and the food at breakfast is too expensive.

Danica's down Ignacio Blvd is a great choice for breakfast. You also have IHOP, Heavenly Bistro, and a few others even closer.

Yeah, breakfast at those types of hotels are a bit pricey if they are not included as part of the room rate. You can pay a bit extra and have the breakfast included on future stay. I don't think there is a Dennis down the street, but surely some places around within the 2 to 3 mile radius you can go. There is an IHOP I believe where the Walgreens is close to the highway. Also at downtown walnut Creek there are tons of options including Mels diner. There is also a black bear diner at the country wood shopping center. Buttercup also at Ygnacio Valley between oak road and Broadway. That's just few. Hope you find a place and enjoy your stay!
