hello the 1929 is the year my uncle bernie was born he is a great person thats why i named the store after him we were all born and raised in brooklyn the is no other uncle bernies not yet i have been in the resturant buss. 45 years thats the history thank you norman green owner 75 percent of my meats and smoked fish are from the east coast bronx
Uncle Bernie's is a wonderful Deli also in Encino California that I have been going to for about 8 years. My favorite there is the sweet and sour cabbage soup and their corn beef sandwiches! I will have to ask my cousin whose lives in New York to go and find the uncle Bernie's Deli so when I come and visit we can go there!
Probably because they are an authentic new york deli. Great food, great staff!
I go there all.the time. Great staff. It's because its family owned. As for your question I think the Uncle came out from Mew York and bought the deli. Then the family came out from New York to help run it.
