Sadly I have found that a lot of times when you call the store itself, the people there don't seem to understand the question. I have tried to find it on their website and could not, I did send a question and asked them and the answer I got back was just that the whey is left over after making cheese . Which really does not answer the question since some cheese is vegetarian and some is not
My suggestion is to call a store, and ask. To know for sure.
