If home depot is fixing Lowes leaking roof, this explains why there are no employees at home depot presently
I think there may be a lot of paperwork from the main headquarters to do any improvements. I think they are just waiting on the approval of headquarters to give the ok. Lots of times when it's a big project like this, it pays to install a new roof rather than patches. So headquarters, of Home Depot, will put a bid out to contractors to install a roof at Home Depot. The contractor with the lowest bid and insurance, and is bonded gets the award. He has to follow All specs, by law, get All permits and signatures needed and follow up with the code enforcer of that county, BEFORE he is allowed to do anything. So while the roof is leaking, it may be an inconvenience to their customers, but their hands are tied so to speak, because there is nothing they can do until all the eggs are in the right basket. Literally speaking. Home Depot apologizes for the inconvenience, and if you're a loyal customer, you know that All good things take awhile, but in the long run, it will be worth it.
I said something to them about it the other day and the answer I got was yeah we know
