I have gone there with my grandkids before they were a year old. Many displays are for children that are older, but there are many displays that you can do with your children even when they are very young. Some displays are very good for young kids when both parents or a parent and helper can interact with the child such as the puppet stage.
The first section is geared for toddlers. It has wooden trains at accessible heights and games to develop pattern detection.
