Southport N.C has a public pier it free, good fishing most of the time .

You have 2 piers on Oak Island witch is not far from Southport but you need to call to see if they are open.

No phone # because it's not privately owned. Its FREE! I saw people fishing today (middle of January). I'm not sure if they were catching anything though.
