Easy but hot walk and would be difficult if anyone is handicapped.
Easy 10 minute walk to the beach. But they close it about 90 mins before high tide. Since the hurricane last year they had so much erosion there's very little Beach and it's dangerous when The Tide Is High. I was just there last month.
Not difficult at all, follow the signs to check point, park and take the foot path about a half miles. Truly it seemed closer than that, we were totally engrossed in the beautiful scenery. It's a feast for the eyes.
Easy, Beautiful walk
It's very easy to access the beach. Worth the walk....so Beautiful!
Crystal is right, once you park to walk it's now too far. Pretty easy to get to
Gravel road to the warden's check in. Then dirt road/path the rest of the way. Watch out for the wildlife
Thank you all for your feedback. This helps with the planning of an upcoming road trip I'm planning. keep an eye out for photos to be posted. Thanks again!
The handicap access is not impossible, but has a degree of difficulty near the "beach" with its softer soil/sand. I took my mother-in-law out where the exotic storm remnants can be seen in a wheelchair, but I had to resort to pulling rather than pushing over the last 25 yards.
