I will be in Savannah and would love to try Mrs. Wilkes dining room. Does anyone know how the line works? Do they serve people until 2pm or do they cut the line off earlier? What would be the latest one could get in line and still be able to eat?

When I was there it was 1:59 pm and they just made the last person already in line the final table.

Open 11-2 you need to be in line by 1030 if you are later you will wait one hour to get in. Cash only 22 dollars worth every penny.

Its day by day. Starts at 10:30 ish and runs until the food is gone or 2:00 ish, whichever comes first. Parking is also an issue. Some street meter parking nearby, and some garages 3 to 4 blocks away. My suggestion is to drop off a line holder and then park the car. Also, bring an appetite.

We visited Mrs Wilkes in late August, non tourist season, and we got in line at 10:30 And were seated just fine. We had stopped by the day before at 1:15 and it was too late.

They close the door at 2. I would recommend arriving no later than 10 am. If it is tourist season, move that to 9 am. But it is worth the wait. Also bring change for parking meters. Remember, it is cash only. No credit or debit.
