Hey Lori, the blanket wouldn't be a problem but with glass beads makes it very difficult because of the agitation aspect may Crack or even break them. My recommendation would be to fill a bath tub with cold water and a mild washing agent such as purex and move it around very slowly. If it is soiled mix 1/4 purex 1/4 ammonia and the rest water in a spray bottle to pre treat the spot then follow above. Hope that helps. To dry just hang it over the shower rod.
