Hi, I brought my cat in last week to be neutered but he still has his testicles. There's a small dark area there but I couldn't see any stitches, was the procedure done?

We do not remove the scrotum so that is probably what you are seeing. You are welcome to bring him in and we can look at him to be sure everything looks the way it should.

The dark area could be a tattoo to denote he has been neutered. The testicles are removed during neuter but not the outer skin so it could appear he still has testicles due to swelling.
