Six people working in the deli on Sunday the 22nd of oct at 3pm . all of them extremely slow and lazy with terrible attitudes . it sure seems like a deli management issue to me . the rest of the store is great !
Tonight at 8:00pm the older grouchy deli lady ignored me standing alone at the counter. She walked over to where John, the MOST HELPFUL, NICE deli man was making a sandwich for the lone customer there. Groucho looked at me several times and just ignored me and "assisted" in making the sandwich as she socialized with the customer. John is always helpful. I ended up walking away because she just left me standing there. She wasn't wearing a name tag so I can't name her. I like shopping at Publix. She alone gave me a terrible customer experience. I will go back but skip the deli if she's there.
I have also experienced rudeness from service at the deli counter. A worker saw me standing there and completely ignored me for around ten minutes. When another worker asked if I'm being helped the rude one stands next to her and asks, what does SHE want? Don't tolerate a job that you don't like.
It always depends on who is helping you unfortunately. I have both good and bad experiences there. It is also my main supermarket.
I had the same problem in this deli, the staff it's really bad and they don't care!

Yes, I've also had this problem at this particular Publix. My Son went in just for 2 subs for our dinner while I waited in the car with our Dog. After 30 minutes I called him to ask what was going on, he replied the 2 employees were arguing, complaining about their job (out loud) while there were several people in line. He waited 20 minutes just to place the order! When he finally came out I was furious and immediately called the Manager of the store. I explained everything my Son witnessed and the wait it took for just 2 subs. He apologized and asked us to come back in and he refunded our money. Before I walked out he got on the loud speaker and sternly requested the deli Manager and all deli employees meet him in the deli! I thank the Manager for being kind and understanding and handling the bad situation immediately!
Very slow. I have not experienced the attitude problem.
