As noted it's close. Best thing is the people
Not too far, and when our camping group was there in March 2018, there were Duke/UNC Hospitals patients camping at this campground, and they camp here on all their visits. We traveled from Raleigh, NC, and the drive was not far to Jones Station RV Park.
I hear alot of people stay for family that are in one of the three major hospitals

It's fairly close, nearly all interstate travel, 25 minutes max

25 to 30 minutes sounds about right. Nice campground to stay in.
Best place to stay in the area. Nice easy drive to campground.
I wouldn't call it close but it's nice enough for a park that it's worth the extra drive compared to others that may be closer.
