Hey Jayson - sorry to hear that! We take a lot of pride and effort in our fish systems and would never sell you a diseased fish on purpose. When it comes to fish diseases, high stress from transport, incorrect tank conditions or water parameters, other fish bullying, changing environment due to being added to a new tank leave fish vulnerable and their immune systems weakened. While signs of the disease may not be visible in a stable tank, a fish with a weakened immune system may be vulnerable to something present in the tank. We always inspect any fish sold to the best of our abilities before sending it home with our customers and you are absolutely welcome to inspect any fish yourself before it is bagged up to make sure it is up to your standards as well. We always recommend following our acclimation procedures as well as using a quarantine tank when adding new fish to help mitigate stress - https://www.thatpetplace.com/articles/aquarium-fish-acclimation-procedures.
Got 3 plecos from them and all 3 had ich. My albino and my butterfly already died. My clown looks like it'll be the only survivor of the 3 I bought and has taken to the treatment well. Really upset bc the albino stole my heart :/ maybe just ended up being unlucky that day. Really hope the next ones I get aren't sick.
