On the street unless you are getting a shower or lunch it's not a homeless shelter. That is not their focus.
They can hangout anywhere but where they stay only they need know.
They offer several services INCLUDING shelter options. However, they are full most of the time and there is a waiting list for the housing. The best thing to do is come to the office and ask about those options. However they serve meals and give showers, clothing and various vouchers all the time. Yes there is internet and laundry services too. And if you have medical issues there is the wildflower clinic as well. The staff here are knowledgeable as well as the S O.S.volunteers to point you in the right direction for whatever you need. (Lunch for non residents is 10:45 am)
It IS a homeless shelter. They are currently rebuilding the women and mens buildings because it was ruined during the hurricane. They have a family building that is up and running right now. There is a little cafeteria that homeless people can hangout in and get sandwiches/drinks and use the internet. Yes you can use the showers or get your laundry done as well. Lunch is served everyday in the cafeteria.
