Not cornstarch. Japanese use a mixture of sweet potatoe flour and regular flour. Karaage is basically what is as close to those wing as you can find in a search of online recipes and make very similar at home, you have a real deal fryer. Hey cj, check Chrissy teigans first cook book, she has a very similar recipe but I would assume more honey and double or triple breading dip before frying
