Yes its dog friendly even though its not a dog park. 2 beautiful piers, a couple historical structures and an amazing view of the indian river and grant vip island.

The review from Janice is correct. The park has plenty of no signs and among them is Service Dogs only. I doubt if anyone would do more than ask you to leave. Besides that nice dock and fishing as well as riverfront native areas to enjoy. Definitely recomend, but dogs? Also local fishing knowledge would help.

As long as you keep your dog leashed, you can usually get away with it. Even if it says "No pets". Many of our beaches are unmanned (by lifeguards) here on the Treasure Coast. (Which is technically south of this location, but it is the very next county south.) FL is a "leash law" state, BUT each county/city can make their own laws in regards to leashes. That is why you see so many people at nature preserves (here in Sebastian anyway) with their dogs off leash. You always hear, "S/He's friendly! Don't worry!". Please have respect for the fact that the other person's dog might not be. And from a dog's perspective, some animal is running at them full speed, bigger, and it's just you and your human. That other dog, friendly or not, is going to feel threatened because it is being charged at and it's instinct is to protect the "pack" which is the person on the other end of the leash. The owner with the unleashed animal WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for ANY and ALL damages that may incur.
