Technically only service animals are allowed into places that have food. But I have seen small dogs in the store.
First answer is correct. If a law enforcement officer with hair in his coffee challenges you for your service animal ID and you cannot produce one it could cost you a bundle taking a dog in a supermarket. Not to mention it makes you look like a real jerk. I question the validity of this question in the first place since yorkies do not reach 9 pounds without a lead weight belt.
