I guess it depends on which one you go to generally I mean if you're just going to get an oil change and stuff they have it done pretty quick while you shop I've had my tires changed in a tune-up and everything done with in like couple hours or shopping

Yes you can you can make an appointment but even then you still have to wait just being honest or sometimes you're lucky and you can show up there and it won't be so crazy but not often that's a no I guess the only good thing is that if you need to pick up certain things you can walk around and you know while you're taking care of your car and stuff but either way if you do make an appointment still have to wait so that's it just being honest
